Scobee released by Saints

T. Scott Boatright New Orleans saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the team has signed cornerback Jimmy Pruitt while cutting veteran kicker Josh Scobee and waiving offensive tackle Bryan Witzmann. Scobee, a 12-year NFL veteran out and former Louisiana Tech standout, was signed by New Orleans in March. He was expected to compete with incumbent saints kicker Kai Forbath.
